So there you have it! We took Fashion's stitches out and she is as good as new... well almost. It looks like she had a brow lift over one eye now, which will hopefully fade some time soon. Now we are just waiting for the ground to dry so that we can get out on trail and make some exciting discoveries. It is sure to be a very green Winter and Spring. What a blessing! It doesn't seem like it right now with all of the muck and mess, but that will soon give way to green pastures and flowers galore. Our wonderful Penasquitos Canyon is now closed, so we are pretty limited to where we can go. But at least we aren't in New York or somewhere cold and snowy, where she would be stall-bound for months. She came from Tennessee as a baby, and it rained a lot more there. Her tiny box stall was dry, but not enough room for those crazy filly legs to run and stretch.
So, we will wait out this storm, and hope for it to dry out fast next week.
